NON TEACHING UNION OF POLYTECHNICS (NOTSUP)

Non-teaching Union of Polytechnics (NOTSUP) Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM) Chapter was established on 28th March, 2022 and was recognized on 18th July 2022 by the Institute as a Registered trade Union with affiliation to Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC). The union presently has seventy five (75) members under it's roof. The union has the following individuals as it's leaders:
1. Abubakar Ahmed - Chairman
2. Abdu Amadu - Secretary General
3. Anas Musa - Financial Secretary
4. Fatima Ibrahim - Treasurer
5. Nura Abdulaziz - Welfare Officer
6. Abdullahi Abdullahi - Asst. Secretary General
7. Abdullahi Ahmed - P.R.O
The union had satisfactorily performed the following activities that improved the welfare and wellbeing of it's members.
1. Collective Bargaining and dialogue with the Institute management on behalf of members to demand government to implement minimum wage etc.
2. Representing members in disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
3. Welfare Services Providing support and assistance to members in areas such as professional development, legal advice, and personal issues that might affect their work.
4. Communication Keeping members informed about important developments, changes in policies, and decisions that affect them. This often involves regular meetings, newsletters, and other forms of communication.
5. Organizing and Mobilizing strikes or other forms of industrial action to press for demands if negotiations fail.
6. Professional Development Offering training and development programs to help members enhance their skills, knowledge, and career prospects.
