The swearing-in ceremony of the students took place in the school auditorium. where it was attended by the principals of the school, the commissioner of education,the head of the Anti-Drug Commission as well as other dignitaries.
In his speech when he launched the swearing-in of the students, Dr. Babangida Albaba said that now the National Board of Science and Technology NBTE has confirmed the school as qualified to provide education for the courses- Diploma courses by ND and NID.
Dr. Babangida Albaba said that currently the school has been approved to teach nine new courses in technology, which will allow more students to be recruited.
The Head of the School said that the school also benefited from TETfund scholarships, where electricity, water and other buildings and services were provided for the development of the school.
Dr. Babangida Muhammad Albaba also thanked Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his efforts to convert the School to University level, where he stated that this will help to ensure that students who can take responsibility for themselves are created.
The Chairman of the Management Board of the School,Engr Muttaqa Rabe Darma, who was represented by Professor Mukhtar El-Qassim, congratulated the students on getting admission in the school, and called on the students to refrain from cheating, misbehaving, taking drugs and other illegal activities.
In his speech, the Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Isa Muhammad Musa, who was represented by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Mika'il Muhammad, said that the government will continue to give priority to the school to ensure quality education in Katsina state.
