The Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management was honored to receive a visit from the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education, Alh. Muhammad Isah Musa. The visit, which took place on Sunday, 22nd December, 2024, was aimed at assessing the Institute's facilities, including lecture rooms, laboratories, student hostels, the connection to the national grid, and ongoing projects.
During the visit, the Commissioner evaluated the progress made, identified challenges, and pledged his full support for project completion. He also assured the management of the government's commitment to maintaining and improving the Institute's infrastructure to ensure an effective learning environment.
This visit underscores the government dedication to advancing technical and vocational education in Katsina State. The Institute, under the leadership of Acting Rector Dr. Hindatu Salisu Abubakar, continues its efforts to provide quality education to its students.
As part of its initiatives to enhance the learning experience, the Institute has engaged in collaborations with key stakeholders, including the AGILE Program under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Katsina State Directorate for Information and Communication Technology (KATDICT), and the State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA). These partnerships focus on various areas such as hostel equipment and infrastructure, technology transfer, internet access, and ensuring a safer and cleaner environment.
The visit was accompanied by the Institute's Registrar, Malan Shamsuddeen Ahmed MNIM FCAI, Engr. Nura Abdul'aziz, Head of Works and Maintenance, and the Chief Security Officer.
