The Management of Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management has received Accreditation Team from National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the accreditation of four new additional programmes to be mounted by the Institute.
The accreditation team led by Malam Abdu Isah Kofar Mata was received by the Rector Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba and his Management team.
The programmes to be mounted by the Institute include; National Innovation Diploma in Computer Hardware Engineering, National Innovation Diploma in Islamic Finance, National Innovation Diploma in Business Informatics and National Innovation Diploma in Security Management.
The Team leader Malam Abdu Isah Kofar Mata said they were in the Institute to access the facilities on ground to enable the Board grant approval for the commencement of the programmes.
Malam Abdu Isah Kofar Mata expressed delight over the available infrastructure at the Institute and the warm reception accorded to them by the Management.
In his remarks, the NBTE North – West Coordinator Malam Garba Muhammad Nalado commended the Management of KSITM under the leadership of Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba for their commitment in uplifting the academic standard of the Institute and expansion of its programmes to enable it attend the status of a full pledged Polytechnic.
Malam Garba Muhammad Nalado specifically applauded the Rector for initiating and spearheading various programmes aimed at encouraging creativity throughout ICT among the youths, citing the recently concluded Katsina National Talent Hunt as example.
In his response, the Rector Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba thanked the accreditation team for their commitment to ensuring that standards are followed in accrediting progrmmes by the NBTE.
Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba assured the Management’s commitment to introducing more programmes that are beneficial to the society.
The Accreditation Team were later conducted round various Laboratories, Lecture Halls and Auditoria to access the facilities provided by the Institute for the four additional programmes.
